the lfs i bought him from basically raised him from a baby..they always fed him goldfish but at times has ate pellets..i been trying pellets but nothing..any advice?

get him to suface feed by holding a golfish over the water then toss the golfish in he willcome up then next time hold a goldfish over and throw a pellot in repeat eventually he will equate both as food .But of coarse he will always prefere live...
some people dont like doing it but you could starve him awhile then try the pellets, hes a big boy he should be able to handle it 
failing that your just gonna have to feed your pellets to the goldfish lol

the pet store would feed him 4 goldfish every 4 days..i fed him over 10 in a 24 hour period..i'll try going three days without feeding him since hes stuffed now..
they are lying to you and did so for you to buy it. There isnt a chance that thing took pellets if he was only eating live to. Sounds a bit fishy to me
