My silver arowana is about 10" and he is kinda skidish sometimes if you make a sudden movement he freaks out and jumps up and his the glass cover kinda hard and sometimes cuts himself. Is there anything i can do about it so he is not hurtin himself. Here is some pics of him, sorry kinda blury used my phone

Mine calmed down as he got bigger. He doesn't even flinch anymore I can even grab him with no problems. It seems when they are young they are very hyper and jumpy I lost a small one jumped out when cleaning the tank. 3 days later had a big bruise on his head then died shortly after

When they are small they are very nervous fish, just get his trust by standing/sitting in front of the tank and let him look at you so he knows who his owner is. Once he gets bigger he will most likely only accept food from you and will not be nervous.

try adding similar sized tankmates to calm it down. blackwater may help too :)

similar size tankmates can scare him...Black water would help though, but other than that you can't admire the beauty of the fish eventually he will calm down and not jump at all.

there is no way to solve it completely, silver aros are always prissy and like to jump, that's their nature.
i think you should never make a sudden move or take some aggressive actions(e.g. point at the fish) to your silvers, they may hurt themselves.

Sometimes they will just get a wild hair and jump for no apparent reason, just as if a ghost spooked them...

At 12" it seemed my Aros got that wildness turned up a few notches...they got real "bratty".
