question about my new jar.

i got a new jar 3 days ago and it is about 5in or so.. he was great the first two days he ate fine and cheased all the other fishes around and seemed to be loveing life but today he is slugesh and wont eat. i did a water change. is this normal? ive had silvers and they never did this.. so just looking for some help.. thanks
 
what were feeding him?

he may have a parasite if u feed him with feeders.
 
First of all, let us know about your water chemistry.
Also did you introduce any new fish? How big of a WC did you do? What were you feeding him?
 
i feed him shirmp, never feeders.(lost a hole tank to feeders once. never again) i tested the water and by the test it was fine.. and he is the new fish... none after him. and the tank has been up for 3 years.. it is in great condection..
 
What's your water temperature? I'd say bump it up a bit and add some salt....
 
Should change 20 gallons, not 7...
