hey guys...i have a red parrot and i was just wondering how big they can get and if u have any pics of them when they are big....i have had mine for about 5 months and it hasn't grown but like a 1/2"...right now its only about 2" and it is boring....thanks.

i got a six incher, but those things can be cramed for monthes in tiny retail tanks , or died, unfortinutley, there are alot of stunters for bps. good luck
Given propor care the regular ones can reach 8".Heres my biggest, shes about 7" and I have had her for about 5 years.
Seen some huge 8-10" ones at the LFS around here. Their bulging bodies make them look even bigger. They get pretty aggressive too....but it's funny cuz everyone thinks they're fat and cute and they're mouths can't close. They're like deformeds Red Devil pretty much lol..
at my big al's they've got a regular parrot thats over a foot long and 15 years old. i would have bought it but it belongs to a dentist who is doing renovations and the drywall dust was bugging it. i'll get a picture next time i'm there.
I've had one for about a year now...most of them that are very deformed look kinda wierd to me, but I came across one that looked nice and I've kept him...great personality...as interactive as a red devil without the aggression towards tankmakes. I keep him with pictus catfish, a couple kribs, and a blue acara.
