I bought a red hook pacu/ silverdollar a month ago and it seems to be growing really slowly. they kept it alone at the store because it was way to agressive to the other red hooks. I was wondering if they have a slow growth rate? also mine has been eating cichlid pellets (that have a higher vegetable content) is that okay for him to eat on a daily basis? also I have been feeding him leaf and romain lettuce, peas , and everyonce and a while zuchini. also t's starting to develop red on it's side with yellow spots on and around the red I believe these are called luna red hooks? can anyone confirm this please.
