Okay back in 2009 I purchased a violet dragon goby that was only 4 1/2 inches long from the local walmart. When I bought her, I put her in my 56 gallon tank with my three small goldfish (now 3 inches (fancy goldfish), 4 inch common goldfish, and 1 inch fancy goldfish), small cory cat, 2 inch lace catfish, and 5 1/2 inch pleco. I have housed her in there for the past four years and now she is a whopping 14 inches long and looks very plump and healthy. My question is do ALL dragon gobies require brackish water or is it okay to keep her in the tank with my other fish? At one time the tank was saltwater and I converted it when I lost all my fish to a terrible bout of ich. It has a 3 inch sand substrate, 15 pounds of rock, five different decorations for hiding, and a fluval 305 for filtration. Is it okay to keep her in the tank with the rest of my fish or is it absolutely necessary to move her to her own brackish water tank? My mother's rule is that if she has to go to a different tank, I either have to get rid of her or the other tank members because we cannot afford to have two large tanks in the house.

was wondering the same thing, at what size do u switch to brackish? beautful goby btw
