I just purchase a buffer and Novus 1 2 3 to buff out my acrylic fish tank. Is this all i need or do i need sand paper aswell. Do i buff the tank then put on the novus or put on novus then buff the tank. Also is Novus toxic to my fishes. How should i treat the tank after using this stuff. Thanks for any infos

I had to sand with sandpaper before using Novus because it was scratched that bad. Then I just did a million coats of 2 & 3... Rub it on and buff it off. It takes a while.
I just rinsed the tank with water a few times before filling. It was fine. The Novus turns to a powder as you buff it off, so any residue should be very minimal anyway. I filled the tank and wiped it good with a clean rag, then drained, then did it again, then drained again. I think that was it, with a 100g tank it takes a while to fill and drain so two was enough for me.
