First off thanks for all the info from everybody, really helps out someone who's just starting out. My question is about my oscar, Animal, i actually rescued him from a friend of mine who had him and another oscar in a 10 gallon tank. Unfortunately while i was cycling the new tank (55 gal, I know now it's not enough for two) one of the fish died. Anyways, he had them for about four months and they didn't really grow that much, maybe 1/2 an inch, from what i've read here and at some other sites that means his growth has been stunted. Now that i have him in the 55 gal, is the stunting reversable? He has a voracious appetite and is eating me out of house and home :)
Thanks for your help.

depends on how long he was in the 10 gal if more than a year he will probably grow slow and deformed little

they had something poseted on stunted growth... the fish recieves to much nitrate or nitrite i forget and it cause him to be stunted if u feed him well and keep him in a big tank and have the water clean and everything is perfect he will start to recover.

Personally, my main fish I keep is oscars :)...anyhow, I think he'll be fine, but you'll need to get him into at least a 75 gal in my opinion once he gets a bit bigger so he has more room. How big is he anyways? Show some pics :)
