Okay, so to preface, I have two bullheads that I love dearly but they're getting a little too big for their tank. My family's idea was to build a pond in the backyard and maybe throw some koi in there so it looks nice in the garden. We have no size limit past 'reasonably priced'. We can get the filters and a trough heater if necessary. I live in MA. A few questions:
1. How deep do I have to go to A, keep from having to take my babies inside over the winter, or B, raccoons killing and eating them,
2. Does anyone have any cool ideas for an almost round pond (we can move it if this doesn't work, I was thinking of building it partially above ground),
3. is there anything I should consider when building a pond such as this?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
