I have a 125 Gallon Saltwater tank with a Wet/Dry filter Currently I have bio balls with about 30 pot scrubbers in it. The question I have is will the pot scrubbers cause my Nitrates to rise? Other people on another site are saying that that they will cause my nitrates to be constantly high and that I would have to make more water changes to keep them down.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)

The accumulation of nitrates or disoved organics has nothing to do with the scruubbies. The scrubbies only serve as a surface area for bacterial colones to live on in order to complete the nitrification process (ammonia to nitrite, nitrite to nitrate).

Your nitrates rising is an indication of poor water change schedule, not your choice in media.

Ok I thought so since my nitrates are perfect as of the moment. Thanks for clearing that up
