ok, i have never used this stuff so my question might seem....well stupid. but here is goes.

how long does it take from the point of adding t prime to the water to actually having the water ready to use in your tank?

i have looked and have found nothing that tells me this!!!

its instant. basically as fast as you stir it.

now why cant i find that answer anywhere else???

Rod, the reaction is almost immediate. The challenge is making sure you have good circulation in the tank so that the Prime can come in contact with new water right away.

Example:
1) When I do WC's I kill the power to the sump/FX5
2) The remove water with pump
3) Add Prime (x1.5 dose for tank volume)
4) Refill with python from the tap.
5) Let powerheads cirulate the water for 10 minutes
6) Power up sump/FX5.

its on the seachems website some where

I see. why doesn't prime makers have this info handy? not even on th ebottle does it say anything about reaction time. and the reason ai ask is that when i do my WC's I actually add pail by pail...5 in toatl and i added prime to each pail individually. i added just under one mill via syringe. and it mixed as the pail was being filled.

probably because most of the water conditioners use the same thing, and all are instant. i guess they assume its the aquarist just adds it however.
