bought aquasafe or somethng at wal mrt, sorry petsmart and petco is 2-3hr away...anyways do i add this before adding the water or during it or what? thanks also does it hurt if i add too much, i mean its hard for me to know exact how many gallons im adding back

There should be something to help indicate that.. like the cover of it perhaps? If not, get one that already has one like API brands.

it just says add 2 teaspoons for every 10 gallon of water. each raised mark on side of bottle equals 10ml ,make sure repalcement water is the same temp as water in tank....

You need to get prime by Seachem. I pour my prime inside the tank as I'm refilling it with fresh tap water.

Many people add some before and some after adding water. 10ml is most likely the equivalent of 2 teaspoon. You can always google the conversation rate to be sure. Unless you pour way too much, I don't see it having any adverse effect on the tank. When I do larger than usual water changes I pour a greater amount than recommended to be on the safe side. I have never had a problem.

I add half my dose when I start filling and the rest 2/3 of the way thru, that way I don't add it all at once.
