I have a pro clear 200 wet dry. i use both of my over flows in my 300 gallon tank. i had in the wet dry a quiet one 4000 pump which did great but i wanted more gph. it was rated at 960 and at about 4' head height it was about 700 or so. I picked up a tetra 1200 pond pump that is doing great. at 4' head height im at about 1000 or so. My question is that pump a good pump?

its sold here

I can't say it's not a good pump as I've no experience using Tetra Pumps, but I have with Mag Pumps. Personally, I like them the best of what I read on pumps.

A Mag 1200 may do the trick or even a Mag 1800. I'd look at their GPH and then decide on which one to use for your application. They even may be smaller in size than the Tetra 1200. Sound to me like the Tetra 1200 is a real monster. I think you'd be better off with a Mag 1200 or 1800. They have a great longevity too.

Mag pumps are used either way. You can't go wrong using a Mag Pump. I hope this helps

i wanted a mag 18 and i found one at my LFS but its $179 when the tetra 1200 was $99. I think however i will be getting a mag because the tetra is just to cheap i think. I already broke a part on it and had to return it. thing is i dont have the recepit so i kind of cant get my money back. so i think if anything ill get the tetra 1900 which is $30 more.
