Hello =^_^=

I was wondering if i were to place Riccia on a stainless steel screen mesh in the area of my tank that i want it to grow in.. will it on grow on the mesh or will eventually crawl and take over my sand foreground
(Pool Fitler sand btw) cuz i would not want it to take over my sand foreground.. or even the lace rock beside it... i just want it to stay on the stainless steel screaan mesh as a carpet.

I also heard that when it spreads the new Riccia plants above the old ones makes the ones underneith it die and rot.

What are you thoughts about Riccia , will it cling to may pool filter sand? theres isnt really much on the sand ot cling to lol.
If any one can share any pros and cons of using Riccia that would be great =^___^=

So far reading from google and other forums trying to absorbs as much info about this plant.. most people say though it can be an easy plant to grow with low light and with out co2... it can be sometimes hard to maintain.. since it has no roots to cling onto anything. as it grows all the stuff float up. ahh just the thought of a full out riccia carpet exploding in the tank cuz somethign disturbed it is scarfy =S

Any one got riccia Experience they wann share? =^_^=

Looks like you got the gist of it with what you read. But it doesn't break up in to a million pieces, most likely, you will have a large clump float to the surface one day.

Ahh Purfect Then!!! =^__^=

Cuz having lots of tiny small million pieces would be annoying.. but if it breaks into large clums and those tiny DNA looking riccia leaves are merged together then that would be easier to maintain! and Larger clumps means easier to regroup and collect. More for growing in spare tank!! YAY!!!

Now i look forward to power growing the riccia! Fun Fun!!

Thank You! =^_____^=
