ok im buying a 75gallon tank and was wondering how many pbass will be right for the tank...i got two as of now in my 55gallon and they are 4inches

also one more thing its been 3weeks and both my pbass are still scare when i enter the room...my previous when i come to the room they come towards me but these two wont do that...they get stressed out when i enter the room?

I have an 80 gallon tank, and I kept 11 cichla in that tank until 7 inches...sold a few, and ended up with 7 in an 80 until 8 inches. Keep the water crystal clear, and they will be fine...:D

hmmm.. about the shyness, My two cents are.. give them the eye ball to eye ball for some time, eat something that doesn't look like a fish in front of them and show them that you are their source to food, haha just my two cents.
When I first got my two pbass, I gave them the eyeball to eyeball for about two hours, just watching them seeing what they were doing (I dont know what it is about fish but I can look at them for hours, I look at mine about 1 hour everyday) and I think one of the reasons why they are scared is becuase they think your gonna eat them so showing them that you eat something else and that your their source to food might help out.
I did this and just after two days my pbass ate right out of my hands. Again just my two cents...

Hope everything works out for you

small cichla are like that sometimes. Give them time...it may take a few months.

What's in the tank? Any tank mates? You can usualy draw them out with putting dither fish in. The also like tall or floating plants, it makes them feel safe.
