Question about Vieja

I want to ask people's experience with Vieja..

I have one at the moment.. no idea what it is.. but it sorta a mix vieja... awhile back.. i got some frys that were a Vieja and Flowerhorn mix...Not sure if anyone recalls.. I got rid of about 4 of these frys.. but one of them just would not let me catch him.. in the end.. i just left him in my 150gallon...

Its been almost 5 months now.. and its beginning to be a monster... Its about 6" and i call him the shape changer... Depending on his mood.. he will either be a gentle fish or a A-HOLE! He's picking fight with Oscar and other fish i have...

I dunno if its the nature for Vieja to fight.. OR.. since its a mix of flowerhorn.. he's aggressive like that...I dont have current pictures of HIM.. BUT.. i do have pictures of his brother whom i gave it away.... he looks EXACTLY like him.. only bigger..

I dont want to get rid of it.. but it looks like i might have to.. if he continues to be aggressive... The 150 gallon is 6ft long.. big enough that fish can get away.. but i see that people house Red terror and Vieja together.. and.. i dunno.. curious if theres anyway to solve it..

BTW... that last pic is of him being housed in a LFS...... thats why u see that huge Koi banner... .. he's probably still there if anyone is interested.... Garvey tropical fish in Rosemead..

The parent might have been a uro.. or it is a uro... I was told the frys were a mix between Flowerhorn and Vieja..

Are Uro aggressive?

Vieja's are very conspecific so i would think the aggression coming out is from the FH. I have a couple FHs now and they are both pretty mean. Fortunately almost all of my Vieja's, Parathraps are are larger so they keep him in check... For now...

ah.. cool thanks... I guess i'll see what happens when i remove all the flowerhorn....

I had a 6" fei feng before.. and sadly he was picked on by the Vieja... almost killed it if i didnt caught it soon enough...

Fei Feng is recovered and doing fine.. but stuck in a 60gallon...

So its been almost 4 months since then.. I'm happy to say that i still have this Vieja.. but its in a 40 gallon.

Does anyone remember from last year where a bunch of Frys were Vieja and Flowerhorn mix?

I want to see how others turned out.. since the last post.. i've feed mine with Grand Sumo and the color has turned somewhat gold and purple.. and larger too... sadly its still very aggressive..

Anyone care to share their own?

The body shape looks the par of young vieja to me.
