Hey guys, I have a 180 that I am preparing to put a couple of rays in. My question is, how much water circulation should I have. I have a 1500 gph return pump from the sump and it looks to be quite a bit of water current in the tank. Is this okay for rays? Do they like current?

Also, for acclimation purposes, should I raise the temp to 85 degrees and gradually lower it into the 78 degree range?

Thanks for any help.

Rob, rays are illegal in cali, but if you have them they love to swim in the current as long as there are places for them to get out of it.

I keep a couple rays in a 180 gallon and I use a 1200 gph pump so a 1500 shouldnt be alot more by comparison. From would I have heard and from what I have seen my rays do they are more active and eat more eagerly at 82-83 so I keep my ray tank at that because thats the way I like them.
