i bought a weeksii and they say there one of the more active polys. i bought him about 2 months ago and id say he grew from 3 inches to 4.5 maybe 5 inches. he never eats in front of me. i put enough krill in the tank and its gone the next day. he also never moves always hiding behind the heater. is this common for a small weeksii to be eating at night and not active? do i just need to wait until he is bigger for him not to act like a log? reminds me of a wolfish right now

it'll depend on the individuals somewhat, but i'm afraid you might have been misinformed. i mean i have a couple weeksii that would move around here and there, but frankly i wouldn't call them active species. if there are hiding spots, they'll generally go for it. if not, they'll probably just rest somewhere.
