i am thinking about getting wild satanoperca deamons, they are 1.5" or so. the current setup i would house them in is with orange head tapajos (same size) and water parameters are set up for 7.0 pH. i know these satanoperca sp. are from the acidic blackwater, is that correct? would they adjust to 7.0pH, since they are so young? i cant even confirm the pH of the water they are currently housed in, as i would be ordering them. my water does tend to be on the hard side, and stays very close to 6.5-7.0 pH. what do you guys think? ide hate to get them and them be sickly all the time because i cant house them correctly. any information would be helpful

I do know that Daemons "can" live in 7.0 ph water becuase i have 2 that are currently with my OH's. But i'm also looking at setting up another tank to house them seperatly to try and keep them in a low ph tank.
Being yours are WC i would try and keep them to as close of wild ph as you can. I know they like a super low ph and i thing the only person that i know that actually has them at the correct or close to ph is "peathenster"
He'll probably chime in with his knowledge on these guys. I know he know's way more than i do..
