Question concerning attachng slate to acrylic tanks

I am thinking about attaching natural toned slate tiles as background to my upcoming 300g tank...I was wondering if there is any acrylic safe seal/glue I can use to do this and how strong they are(I don't want falling slate tiles in my tank.)

just try silicone on a practice piece and see how kt holds

window and door silicone NOT kitchen and bath. Works on glass and rock should work even better on plexi

thank you martin...If I want to change in the future, will the silicone come off the acrylic?

I dont have alot of experience with it myself but have done alot of research and I have used it on glass and rocks.. I would feel more comfortable removing it from glass than acrylic. If you have an old crappy tank I would test first.
