i just recently bought a condy anemone i was just wondering why my percula clowns are not even noticing it...are they not the rght clowns to host that type of anemone?

From what I understand, hosting is a possibility not a gurantee.

With that said, I once moved some excess anthelia (waving hand coral) from my reef tank to my Fish Only set up (where my maroon clown resides). Six months or so afterwards the maroon started to dwell among the anthelia as if it were an anemone, it even protected it and stashed food in it. That was definately not an expected outcome, but that behavior occurred months later, not immediately; so maybe in time your percula will host the condy eventually.

Condies are serious stingers & fish don't like to be stung. Most clowns will not host a condy. It will also seriously sting corals. Better nem for clowns is a bubble tip.

yeah i dunno i just bought it quick thinking the clowns i bought will host it i really dont know if its a condy it just looks like one from research its like a pinkish purple with long tentacles its really healthy in my tank right now it grew alotta since i got it(1 week ago) is there any signs i can look for if its not happy besides the whole moving around the tank because it hasnt left its spot since it went into it...some of his tentacles are tied up is that alright also? i kinda regret buying it i mean it was only 15$ but i should of done more research because the first night it was in my tank i woke up the next morning and my tang had two HUGE black lines going down his side hes still healing from that thanks for the info tho

yeah ive bin reading about that...if i get the green carpet anemone can i put it next to the condy or they will aggravate eachother im guessin they will

Do not put 2 nems in the same tank. Get rid of the condi & get a bubble tip. Carpets grow HUGE. How big is your tank?
