Question for all DIYer's

When building your stands, canopies, and tanks....do you make them very ornate and furniture like, or simple, strong, and functional?

I usually go for the latter, I was just curious what other MFKer's do.

i try to do both things make them simple strong but make them look good and make them fit into the room

Up to 28 tanks now...its all about function and durability...i build everything to last a lifetime so theres no fixing it down the road. I keep everything painted matte black so it all looks clean/industrial in the end. No use for doors or doo dads on my stands lol... granted some people out there make beautiful furniture but thats not my gig. Give me a tube steel stand in jet black any day of the week my 650 build looks so clean most people who see it in person cant even tell i made it.

Anything I make needs to have a finished look to it, but that's partially because I know I can do it if I spend the time to make it look that way.
