Where the Sun is Warm
I was wondering if any one noticed when their male royals started developing their whiskers, and if their whiskers were trimmed, how long did it take for them to grow back?

Thats quite difficult to answer but on the most part slowly. I noticed one of my 8" L190 starting to develop whiskers and they may have grown 5mm in a couple of months.

^^ i have to agree, a lot of it depends on their diet and size.. mine started to grow about the 7-8" mark
as for the regrowth of their whiskers, i have no idea.. sorry

I don't have any personal experience but i recall one member on here saying that if you feed them shrimp with the shell it helps the growth of their odontals. She also suggested krill. Also i don't see why you would trim them. Anyways if needed i'll try look up that thread where i read that.

I'm not trimming them, sometimes the importers trim their whiskers so they don't puncture the shipping bags. The ones I have are about 8" and 10" with no signs of any real whisker growth so I'm leaning towards them being females. So in that case I will need to find a nice male for them.;)

Thanks everyone for the responses. It's greatly appreciated.
