Alrighty I have a noobish question for you guys. My question would be do you think a Midas would be able to be in a tank with A Wild Caught pair of Managuense. Reason being is my girlfriend said she was going to get me a 8.5" WC Lake lago Jag from Rapps for my stunning male. I was telling her he is now sexually mature and he is getting really aggro now and stuff like that. He has been defending a long peice of slate for sometime and he rests over the top of it and shakes his head and boy when the Midas even comes close he hits him HARD as hell. Now I don't think it should be that much of a problem for a fairly small pair ( male is 7.5" female being 8.5") in a 125 with a 9" Midas. Although I do certainly understand the aggressiveness of just a single jag alone and a Pair but do you guys think it will be ok until the Midas gets his own tank a little after christmas?

You should be fine.But then again you may not be.My pair is in with other fish and they really don't bother anything.

My tank is a 135 and it is STUFFED to the rim I put in a full tank shot to show the piece and lack of nipped fins...
Wow I want your female. She is awesome. Your pair seems relatively small as well. What is the male 8"? The Female has got to be like 4" or 5". Yeah I will probably put in a flower pot over my Males favorite piece of slate so they can have their own little area. I don't think my male was from the same lake as the WC he has in now. Anyways how much do you think I could get for the Fry if both fish are Wild Caught. I know once the pair get like 12" they alone will be worth like $200.
I did NOT know they could breed this small, but I guess I was wrong...
