First off, I'm not sure where exactly to post this so mods, feel free to move this to the appropriate section.
Anyways, I've seen various methods of stripping the flesh from the bone, but what I want to know is if it would be possible to do this through use of a large colony of snails an shrimp. I know in my tanks that, when something like a guppy does, the inverts swarm it and in a day or so all this remains is the bone of the fish.
I wonder, if you had a large tank dedicated to snails and shrimp, if you could throw dead fish in there and have them eat down to the bone to leave you with a clean skeleton. I figure it would be a natural way of doing it and that it would be relatively cheap. Not to mention, you could then sell excesss livestock as well. Thoughts?
