Quarantine Tank
Im about to get my very first flowerhorn :)which at 6in. seems to be monster friendly. My main concern is that it will eventually snap and attack everybody in the tank. It will not be the alpha of the tank but its still a concern. There will def. be larger fish in the tank.

My question is what is your experience with comm. friendly flowers?

Have you ever had a comm. friendly fh snap? If so, what do you think caused it? What size was it when it become super agro?

Anybody here ever have a comm. friendly flowerhorn remain friendly throughout its lifetime?

going into my 240

I had a 12" FH in my 265 with oscars, a jag, an aro, CK, and a couple of catfish and he never caused a problem. He acted like the ruler until he got put in his place. After that everything was fine.

Depending on how populated it is, I think you should be fine with that.. most FH community tanks don't work out well, but I've seen one successful one in a 125, I think? And there's a Silver Aro in there.. and a bunch of different FH..

Right now, I have one tank that has 1 6 - 7 inch FH and 1 3 inch FH and a BP.. and they all get along fine.

The fish will be fine in there bro don't trip on it. Flowerhorns do fine most of the time in large aggressive community tanks, but it does depend on the tank mates. Avoid other FH, they don't mix well with GT,JD's, Texas can be problems too and can live with but will usually do some territory fighting with large cats and leperanus although loaches and botias are fine. Tings that could make them snap. Other fish testing them, not getting enough food, not enough room (although you won't have that prob) the individual fish's personality. Same for many large cichlid;)

Do you happen to know what type FH you got, size, sex etc? If not post a pic will try to help you out on that:)
