question for fluval 405 owners

i dropped the top of my fluval in a bath tub full of water when i was cleaning it. i just left it in there because i didnt think it was bad so it was probably in there for a few minutes. has anyone done this before?

i havent tried plugging it in. any advice on this matter?

it doesnt seem like there is water stuck inside it but idk.

You mean the where the motor is??? Only one way to find out is to plug it in.

id let it set for at least a day to make sure all the electronics are dry

All fluval canister filter motors re 100 % water proof. I have had fluvals for 30 years and have done this many times. The first time I called Hagan up and they said they are all waterproof.
