Question for Fluval FX5 Owners

I'm thinking about adding an FX5 to my set up. My question is this - how much clearance do I need between the back of my tank and my wall? I have about 1 to 2 inches between my tank and the wall. Or if needed, can I come in from the sides? I have plenty of room there. Will it work from the sides? My tank is a 180 and I'm presently running a wet/dry system. I've got two XL Oscars and a XL Sailfin Pleco. I'm thinking about adding a few more fish to my tank and that's why I'm thinking about the extra filtration.

You'll be fine both ways, from the back and from the sides. 1" hoses it what you are working with. And the clips, 1 1/2 max.

Cool. That's what I was hoping for. I thought I might need to deal with some type of overflow box and I don't think I have the room in the rear for one. Thanks for the help.

Nope, just hoses and clams. Easy to run if you ask me. If you are going to buy it new, it even comes with a video...well, 2009 ones did.
