Hey, i want to learn to play the Bass guitar.

I have a problem with commitment though. So i dont want to buy the BEST there is until i know its something i really like.
I want to get a beginner start up kit and was wondering if anyone knows some good ones.

I havent been searching long because, well i dont know what i'm looking for. :screwy:

I found this bass guitar start up kit. It's inexpensive and i was wondering if it's too crapy to bother with, or if it would be good for a beginner who doesnt know if they will stick with it or not.

Any help is VERY appreciated

Behringer makes good amps. I don't know about instruments. But usually those starter packs are pretty low-quality. Fine if you're a beginner but pretty much anything beyond that and you'll want something better.

But I think Fender's bass starter pack is relatively good.

...or you could look on craigslist. You should be able to find a good deal on a better bass.

That one looks good. I'll keep that one in mind.

Ever heard of a Silvertone?

There's a package with a Silvertone SSLB-11, BA-10 Bass AMp, GT-8 tuner, gig bag, strap, cable, pickpack and dvd

I would go to a shop and actually play the guitar. I've seen some guitars setup with the worst action. If it isnt comfortable, you wont want to play or stick with it.

Look on the internet, or in the phone book to find a guitar shop. They usually have basses and guitars that have been left there for years or they might have some really cheap stuff that they just don't want anymore because they know they want the good stuff.

I also agree. Try looking around yard sales, swapmeets, and classifieds. They may be used but there is often good deals. One of my friends picked up a good bass and amp at a swapmeet over the summer for $20!! Good luck.
