Can we have this forum split into sections? It seems that this is just a bundled up section for everything that isn't fish related, but it might be easier for someone to browse a reptile section if there was just a reptile section or a dog section.

Perhaps....but lumping all non-fish pets into one section is still pretty broad. Technically, dogs and cats aren't exotics and least of all, they should have their own section.
I suggest:
Reptiles, Amphibians, and Inverts
Dogs/Cats
Birds/Small animals

or even split up the reptile/amphibian/inverts into seperate sections...and can we get a supply section so we can discuss different supplies

What would be nice is if ya could specialize the "new post" search to omit certain forums such as "the lounge, "other pets" etc.
All I know is come into this section mainly for the reptiles and get disappointed when its about dirty dogs.
