question for petsmart employees...

So, let's say that I was stupid and accidently fed a petsmart purchased gt to one of my oscars. According to petsmart's refund policy, is it possible to get a refund with just my receipt? The the body of the fish is at this time not available. Or, due to the fact that I screwed up void the warranty.

I do know that if I was a ps employee and some jackhole came into the store and said, "my oscar ate my green terror, give me my money back." I would laugh them out of the store. But just thought I'd ask.

I'm sure the return policy excludes digestion of the fish in question. Most stores require the body, a water sample, and a dated receipt.

The Petsmarts I have been to (3) require a body and the corresponding receipt, but no water sample. Without a body they would not give you a refund, at least according to the explinations I have received (I always ask for a store's policy if I buy a fish there, even if I have purchased there in the past).

Wouldn't hurt to try, but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Especially since they had nothing to do with the death...it's not like the fish died due to illness/trauma from shipping but a pleco ate the body or something.

Wellll.........My store has some pretty well special managers and they did return it once. All hell broke loose when the store manager found out. It wasn't even the Petcare manager either, so ya. But no to answer your question, you need a dead body, or a tail or something at least.

I work for petsmart and unfortunatly its a company wide rule that you have to have the body and receipt to get a refund.

Maybe if the PS employee told you they would be ok together and he got eaten.

ive been there and done that, except the bodies i couldnt produce where that which cost $20. so i was a bit more hurt. they will not no way no how refund without the bodies. as i was told "we dont care if its a torn riped boddy or decaying and stinky and we dont even open the bag to see, u need a body"
