I'm looking.at getting a 90 xj that has the front breaks locking up on the guy he's changed the calipers and pads. And it still does it he's thinly ing it might be the hub or the hub bearings vibrating and causeing them to heat up and lock is there anything.g else that it could be?

He would have known if it were the brakes, he doesnt want to say the front axl has to come apart.

He said is was his daily driver untill the front brakes locked up a couple times he thought it was the master cylinder so he changed that out and it happened again so he parked it and its been setting and he hasn't looked at it but we are going to Sunday I was just trying to see if it could be anything else

from a jeep guy to a jeep guy

DONT BUY IT inless its cheap and you got dispoable income

im fighting a loosing battle of dw (death wobble) for 3 years now
got more in the front end a month than i could for a new car payment

but they do drive nice a imo the best looking and driving midsize suv

Its only $450 basically scrap price and if it only needs new front axles I think it would be worth it

Jack the front end up and spin the wheels. Listen for grinding etc coming from the diff. That should tell you if its in there. If theres enough damage to lock the axles/tires up you should be able to hear a problem

Ok I will probly be looking at this weekend so I will let you know more when I know more
