Ok ladies, what are some peaceful graceful fish you guys love to watch swim around tanks. And ones that you can't keep your eyes off of! I have a 40gal breeder in my room and want fish that will be peaceful and graceful in it. Im not really looking for aggressive fish I want it to be a great colorful, graceful, community. So all lady MFK's let me know. Or any guys who's wife have picked out fish which ones did they like? :)

i like these a bunch. They are fun to watch for sure.

Well...goldfish are graceful and peaceful. Two fancy goldfish with long flowing fins would be nice.

It's really too small for single-tails, unless you only want to keep one in there.

That's only since you said colorful. I was going to suggest Bichir, but they aren't really colorful, I guess you could get a delhezi, but if you kept any smaller fish, like previously suggested, all you'd have left after a few months is the bichir!

Angelfish are one of my favorites, very graceful and pretty. I prefer the "wild type" with just silver and black bars, but it's hard to come by those....especially non-veil tails...oh, to dream...sucks that you can only find man-made types now-a-days.

I liked angel fish and discus but discus are expensive. Maybe I could get 4 angels from someone taking a trip south.

Well, even though I am a lady, I don't know how much I prefer graceful fish over monsters/weird fish. (Give me a angler fish any day!) But I will try to help!

A school of peaceful tetras or rasboras can be very graceful, and colorful. Angelfish are another good one, you might also like dwarf gouramis or blue rams.

Oh, the gouramis!
Speaking of which, here is one tank I have set up right now:

1 Adult koi angelfish
2 opaline gouramis (try to get females, males are not very "peaceful")
4 peacock gudgeons (almost SW-like colors in a FW fish, can't beat that)
3 yoyo loaches (I've tried to have four, but every time I do, it's only a matter of time before I have 3 again...wonder if that's part of their psychology)
