I have a supplier who has a stingray they call a puma cat. Anyone ever heard of this species and can give me some info on them.

never heard of it.... but with out a picture this will be kinda useless... i tried a google but got nothing

No Pictures. That is the biggest down side. They give you these odd names and then do not want to help out with the accurate name.

i've seen these kind of rays labelled as puma rays:

its been listed in their inventory for a while but never can find pics of it. the ray KATFISH is refering to is a YEPEZI. heres mines

Katfishguy's link is to a hybrid ray, but the 'mantilla' type rays can sometimes be called 'Puma'..
Killerlexus' fish looks more like an Orbignyi or Humerosa, but could be labeled as the false Yepezi out of Peru..
What country is it coming from? Could be an un_ID'ed ray or a sporatically patterned Motoro, but I can almost guarantee, especially if from Peru, it is a Castexi variant.. I have seen 'Puma' used on a number of Castexi variants, especially ones they sometimes also call Motelo (turtle) among others..
Could be just about anything with Mis_ID's and common names.. I saw a pix of a Puma ray a while back but can't find it.

I am trying to get more info, but they are making it very hard. All I know right now is it is called a "Puma Cat", Large as they come one to a box and based on the wholesale price it would be retailing for $550-$600.
