so i have a scaides/leiarus pictus about 13-14 inches and he eats like a true monster.

so my question is what can i feed him that will make a mess when he barfs. he eats about 30 large cichlid pellets all at once then if he cant take it all he just barfs it out and cause a big mess.

any suggestions

Try raw shrimp or earthworms.I guess you go through quite a bit of pellets feeding a cat of that size.

yeah i would say switch foods to something more filling will less amount. Def try large krill. earth worms would be best. massivore pellots would work cause they sink.

I dont know if its true or not, but i had a fish store owner tell me one time they try to avoid the floating pellets esp with large fish. Because when they are taking them from the surface they take in a lot of air too. Idk if thats true, but i think switching foods is the best direction for you to go at this point.

I feed plenty cause I got dats, a jar and what not in there. Massivore is like 50 60 bucks a 2.2lb bag

Thats cool if the others eat the pellets, especially the dats but it seems like you are burning a hole through your wallet giving them to your catfish, especially those pellets since they are probably the most expensive ones you can buy, when you can give your cat larger, more filling and cheaper foods.

Never bought the stuff but I see it mentioned pretty often.
