I got a pump from overseas, it's a 110v/60hz/16 watts
I ordered a step up/down transformer 220v-110v.
Do I need this?
Or is there another, lighter duty device I can use?
If I just plug it in I assume it will eventually burn out or maybe start a fire?
Please Help.
Thanx.

:iagree: ^, 110VAC was our old standard and was raised to 120VAC in several steps with no major ill effects on older equipment.

I don't understand why you ordered a 220v - 110v transformer tho? (unless you planned on hooking it up to 220VAC)

I basically went by some ill advice form a home depot employee.
I know I should have done more research before ordering a transformer.
Next time I'll be more patient.
