Whats a good way to promote algae growth?

increase photo period

add fertilizers to the tank with no plants

Try some Scotts Fertilizer that you can get at the hardware store for your yard. I'd put like a heaping tablespoon per gallon in the water.














I'm not falling for this one.

Then don't use Scotts.

And don't waste you money on that gravel conditioner if your gravel is already aged.

poor guy, i dont think hes ever gonna live it down.

Iv heard and read that silica sand and/PFS can promote algae growth is this correct. something about the silicates idk, im no expert, not even close

just over feed and leave the lights on for extended hours higher nitrates are normally the cause of algae...

Lights on 24/7 and add ferts.
