How many and what kind of fish do you have in this tank? And how many gallons?

Are they large, and how many gallons is the tank?

shovelnose is about 11 inches rtc is a 7in. oscar. about 5in pacu about7in channel cat8in. suncats about 4in puffers about 3in and they are in 150 gl. 3 hob filters one rena xp3 and water is crystal clear

check the nitrates from your tap

also, how many gallons do you change at a time. Your filtration is fine, because nitrites and amonia are at 0.

The only sure fire way to reduce nitrates is water changes.

I definately wouldnt want to have to go any higher than that, but they can probably tolerate it. I would remove a couple of fish if I were you, because you're going to have a massively overstocked tank very soon. all 3 of the catfish will outgrow that tank *depending on which shovel nose it is* and the pacu will outgrow it as well. Fast.

If you keep them:

Add another oxygen stone or two.. seems like your fish are creating allot of waste hense the nitrate level raises.. and more water changes maybe twice a week.. See if that helps.
