question: new pbass tank

i will be getting a new tank for my pbass this spring- 400-500gal, should the tank be short, long or wide or deep. i know the fish need to turn so iwas thinking 2-3ft high, 6-8ft long and 2-3 ft wide what yall say?

yo dieselmack: hows the dorado and is it really a one fish tank, my lfs has one for $125 at about 5-7"'s and owner says it was attacking the bichirs. would like some first hand knowledge if u can. thanks in advance.

2ft high max, length and width as big as you can make it. 8x3x2 would be great

Man I think 2 foot is short and not really as attractive as 2.5-3 But all of the above

why would 2ft be the max height? 3-5 would be great but wifey wont let me get that high. lol lol

2 ft MAX is completely wrong. I gues he meant 2 ft min. I think 2 ft is ok, but it's true that taller looks better. I love my 8x4x2. I have it on a really tall stand. I'd say minimum that will last for a good while, probably forever is 6x3x2.
