I have a couple of Question on a 300 gallon acrylic tank?

Question

1. Whats the weight of a 300 gallon Acrylic tank with no water
2. Is trading a 75gal and 125gal both glass worth a 300gal acrylic
3. This tank has a two tubes on one side of it and I'm looking to cap
them off. The tubes go right down into the stand. I would like
to cap them off so I can put two FX5 on it
4. Lids for Acrylic what to use?

Thanks

I would say,YES it's worth it....
put two bulkhead fittings in the holes an then some plugs in the bulkhead fitting with
teflon tape and your holes are plugged..(pick up at home depot)...
look up plastics in the phone book and they will make you acrylic lids...
Novus 1,2,3 works good for buffing out any scratches, good luck....

If the 300 gallon holds water then it's definitely worth it.

Why do you want to cap off the overflows? It would be best to leave them open, put a sump on it in tandem with the 2 fx5's and fill them (fx5's) with straight sponges.

If you're going to be doing any kind of over-stocking, the fx5's aren't gonna cut it.

Lids, you can just get a glass shop to cut you something.

Any pics of the 300?

you could get reducers for the bulkheads and run the canisters through those.
if you have somebody willing to trade your tanks for a 300, do it.

I don't have pictures yet but I should maybe have some this week we shall see. On that Note no one has told me what the weight is on this 300gal acrylic is?

Thanks I look into the weight of a 125gal

Well thanks for everyone responding to this thread I have since decide not to go with the tank as I see that is has a bowed in the back and is not flat on the stand maybe bow on the bottow as well.
