Question on Arowana

I recently bought a silver arowana. I was wondering do they like current?? Or would they rather a calm tank?

They prefer calmer water - they come from such waters in the wild. I've also read that there are areas of rivers that they inhabit where it's been shown that areas of fast water (rapids, ect) serve as population barriers.

Indeed, little current is needed.
However surface movement does no harm, and just help oxygenate the tank.

im not so sure i read that aro dont like currents but mine loves to play in the bubbles

IME when they are smaller they prefer calmer waters, but when the get big they dont seem to care either way.

yep thats my experience also.
i have loads of current at the top of my tank and the aro does not realy care.
hes a big boy though and the current does not affect him.
