I am new to the arowana world and understand that Asian Aro's are illegal to own in the us.
I don't mean to sound dumb but just want to get it clear.
My question is, I have ran across a company who states he can ship Aro's of any breed and color anywhere. He also states you will get paperwork CITIES permits to sign and return to him.
Now this sounds to good to be true and the prices are from $300'ish to $540 shipped/permit?
Now I'm not stupid to online scams, but My thinking is if it's farm raised then why would it not be able to be sold with s permit that states it was farm raised and not wild caught??
Now I'm only asking this dumb question just to understand the legality of it all. And I'm sorry if this question has been asked before.

The company is called
Graceland fish farm from N.C.
Has anyone ever heard of this place?

they are banned in the US, period. No permits, no chance of getting one. That sounds like a scam or a sting operation. Steer clear.

I agree. I wouldn't touch it. And if it was true it would be considerably more than 300-400$. Times that by 10

its most likely, judging by the posts I googled on that so-called farm, a scam.

There's members on here in the U.S who have them. I don't know how or where they got them but it's possible to get them. However you're risking all the legal penalties if you get caught.

of course there are people who have them in the US, they didn't get them legally though haha. I'm sure theres a healthy amount of keepers who still have snakeheads too.

Yep. I remember one for sale thread a seller posted a listing for some ugly chiclids and they posted a video with an Asian super red in the tank.

people aren't always the brightest lol.

You can go to Canada and drive back with them. In Canada it it LEGAL to have. Even at the border they won't know what kind of fish it is even if you were to get checked which in unlikely. I'm just saying they're many ways to get an ARO. Your not trafficking drugs its just a fish.

I live in Chicago so Canada is not that far away.

I'm not saying to do this its illegal but people have them in the U.S.
