My mom got two baby turtles. they are not your typical red ear slider they have yellow markings on the side of the head and a more dull green shell. how do i care for them????? they are 1.5 inches big

I don't think sliders are suitable for life in a tank. They just need a lot of swimming room. Best kept in a pond.
most likely yellow bellied sliders or cooters. good filtration is a must. warm water. also a good diet and proper lighting. also might not ne a bad idea to use a sulfa block in the water.
