I just set up a tank and am using crushed coral for the first time. I rinsed it a lot but it was still turning milky white finally I saide F it and put it in the tank and filled it. Is this common action for crushed coral? if so I guess the filter will take care of it in time

Yea, it happened to me too. If you wanna get rid of it fast, use SeaChem Clarity.

I use CC in my filters (in satchets), it seems it always has a little more dust :irked:
I think just the action of it rubbing against itself keeps generating it, i give it a really good rinsing and then watch the small cloud come out my filters when I place it.
No big deal, I consider it normal now.

Your using CC as a substrate, correct? It'll settle out, no worries.

Give it time, it will take a while. Did you get the clarity by SeaChem? IMO it is the only clarifier that actually works.

I'll try that but I just stuck my hands in the tank and moved some stuff around and the water is white again. Is that always gonna happen? That really sucks if it does

Water changes and gravel washing will take care of it.
