So I have two Fronts that I got at the same time, one is grown pretty large and is developing a hump, but yet the other one has barley even grown an inch, anyone know the reason that might be? The only thing I can think of is that maybe the one that isnt growing much is a female?

the other one could be out competing it for food.

it could be, but I usually watch them eat and they both eat a good amount of food..

It's usually not a good idea to keep 2 fronts unless there are other fish in with them. If they're the only fish in the tank then, one could be outcompeting the other for food. If they're both getting enough food then, congrats. You probably have a M/F pair. I'd think about getting another female or 2 before the male is sexually mature.

I know with my little fronts the size is quite drastic. But there are ten in the tank along with a bunch of other fish. They were born last feb. and range from 6in. to just probably 2.5in. Although you could guess that the little ones are all males, until they all reach the 4in or so range I won't know for sure. I figure that's when I'll try to vent them all.

well i do usually watch them eat and they both seem to get a good amount and they are not in the tank alone, there are other fish with them!

Even if they eat the same amount, males grow faster and larger, make sure to keep up with water maintanence as that helps growth as well.
