Question On Light

I was cleaning out a cupboard and found my brother SAD lamp because hes a sufferer. I read the box out of interest and it says its the same as sunlight anytime of the day. Think this could be used on reptiles? I know it wont give off the heat, im talking about the UVA, UVB etc

For people who suffer from Seasonal Affection Dissorder, means they loose concentration etc if theyre brain doesnt get enough light. Its very common in contries like Russia where its dark alot, my brother has it

Being from Florida, I have never heard of it so I really wouldn't know but I am interested to find out.
