question on orinos growth

what kinda growth should i expect with by 7 inch orino. ive heard they grow slower than others. i feed him a 100 feeders a week. is this too much or too little?

There are too many variables to simply state what you should expect to see growth wise. What size tank? Water changes?? How often are you feeding???

Pellets are a good supplement, but live/dead whole fishes should make up the majority of any Cichla's diet. Think about it, when you're feeding adult Cichla, how many pellets will it take to fill them up??? A LOT!! Pellets are good for color and such, but always provide live/dead whole fishes and some shrimp or such, as well.

right now he is in a 100 gallon soon to be in a 300 galloon fish tank. i do 25% water changes a week. i feed him 14 minnows everyday
