I have a bottom drain and I didn't think about it at the time. The cover is light grey and it stands out in our pond. They don't offer another color for the removable cover. Can I use clothing dye to color it black? I've used it before to color plastics but I've never used it underwater with live fish. Do you think it would be safe?

I've heard of people coloring PVC pieces w/dye. Might be the same for the BD cover. Might want to do a test on a piece of PVC and see if it changes water parms.
