question on UV Sterilizer

I just recently got a UV Sterilizer for my p0nd (2,000gallon) and the LFS Said i hook it up to my pump then to my pump to my filter? Its a Jebo something ill check when i get home (I knew it was pretty pricy though) question is can i just fully sumberge it? its just a heck alot easyer and do i have it on all the time or do i turn it off at night?

-Can i just fully sumberge it? Depends. What brand is it? Most of the time they are not submersible. The one I have for my pond is built in with my filter.
