I have a 225g tank stocked with
1-Jardini 13''
2-blood parrots 4''
2-Common plecos 4''
4-Clown loaches 2.5''
1-Hystrix stingray 6''

My Question is would my jard kill a 12'' id shark my lfs is selling one for 70$can.
Has anyone ever had succes with these two combined??
Thanks in advance!! mic

your jardini is already in with other fish so it might not but its hard to say with the jardini's,i know some one who has his jar in with loads of fish for along time and now he is bigger ie20inch he has started to have ago at other fish in the tank and he has to move him as for my jardini which is 14inch i cant put any think in with him becos he would kill it.
all you can do with jardini's is try.it could work out for you.
best of luck

you can never tell with them jardinis, mines is a krazy SOB, can't keep anything with it.

Yeah they very are unpredictable. One day they are fine, living with the same tankmates for months, never bothering them before. Than the next day they end up floaters. Mine killed my nicest high fin prochilodus this way. :(

if its fine with all those fish yes... my old one wanted to kill everything

It comes down to trail and error. It may or may not work.

If you do not want to risk a death I suggest you do not try it.

I agree with the above comments. I would also add that it might help to move around the decorations a little. This creates a "new" environment so they have to establish new territories and levels of rank (if you can call it that).

I'm a bit worried that the shark is smaller than the jardini ... would have been better if it were the other way round...

Hope it helps!

:iagree: 100%

If you have a spare or another tank to put the shark in then i would get him and try and see if it goes round then move the shark, (or take him back to ur LFS)

Trial and error mate thats all. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
